I was born in Albany Street as was my father. At one time my grandparents, who married in St James’ Church were the oldest residents of Albany Street. I remember in the 1940s waking up to the sound of cockerels crowing as everyone kept a few hens for eggs and a cockerel for Christmas. It seems so very appropriate that there should be a farm there now
